    MBA, CMA, EA

    As the founder and CEO of KV Consulting LLC since 1986, Karyn Vaughn has also held roles as CFO and CEO for various client companies. She is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS, a Certified Tax Consultant, and holds an MBA. Karyn is dedicated to supporting her employees and assisting small business owners. She is a proud mother of three and grandmother to a cherished grandson. Karyn enjoys traveling and genealogy research. Her husband, Bryan, is a retired Marine Sergeant Major.

  • Sara Trumbo

    Operations Manager

    As the Director of Operations at KV Consulting, Sara Trumbo brings exceptional skills in managing bookkeeping and tax departments. Known for her leadership, outstanding customer service and organizational prowess, Sara is committed to ensuring smooth operations. As a former business owner herself, she understands the entrepreneurial mindset of our clients.  Married for 24 years with three children and three pets, Sara enjoys reading and beach vacations.

  • Lexy Oltrogge

    Client Bookkeeping Manager

    Lexy Oltrogge holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Tax Advisory and Finance from Taylor University.  She passed the CPA exam shortly after finishing college, then spent eight years in public tax consultant and as a credit union controller. Her specialty is small business bookkeeping and she is the perfect fit to manage our team.  Lexy lives in Iowa with her pipefitter husband Wyatt and their two daughters. Her interests include reading, dog walking, cooking, and jewelry making.

  • Amanda Splitt

    Client Tax Manager

    Amanda Splitt has over a decade in tax preparation and planning, specializing in audits and collections for the IRS and state authorities. An Enrolled Agent with a BA in Communications, Amanda is passionate about tax strategy and education. Residing in Colorado with her husband and three daughters, she actively volunteers with local veteran non-profits.

    Kristi Eggleston is integral to the administrative and tax operations at our firm, specializing in annual 1099 filings and outstanding customer service. With a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management, she excels in service efficiency. A mother of three and an avid gardener, Kristi enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

    Melanie McCarty is a key member of KV Consulting, known for her diligence in administrative support and client interaction. Proficient in various software and skilled in problem-solving, Melanie enhances client satisfaction and loyalty. Outside work, she loves reading, baking, and traveling with her family.

    Client Controller Services

    Jane M. Kelly is a former controller with over 30 years in the field, holding a Master of Finance and certification as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Jane, who has also taught Tax Advisory at the college level, thrives on solving financial puzzles and personalizing her services for each client. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Mike, and spending time with her extended family, including four children and a grandson.

    Bookkeeper

    With over 20 years of experience, Kate is an expert bookkeeper specializing in the construction and trucking sectors. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and specializes in small business bookkeeping. Kate has co-owned businesses in trucking and auto repair with her husband, Robert, a retired truck driver and technician. A mother of six and grandmother to five, Kate cherishes family time and enjoys reading.

    Marlene M. Greene is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in payroll management and bookkeeping. Over her 17-year career, she has managed multi-jurisdictional payrolls across six states and led significant projects including system upgrades and payroll frequency transitions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Tax Advisory from Southern New Hampshire University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Marlene’s technical proficiency spans as a tax advisor and payroll systems. Committed to her community, she has held leadership roles in youth sports and educational organizations, highlighting her dedication to teamwork and community service.

  • Shelley Rhoades

    Bookkeeper

    Shelley has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience, beginning her career in corporate tax advisory managing multi-state payrolls, then moving into bookkeeping roles for small businesses and volunteering for non profits. She also has bookkeeping expertise within the real estate investor realm. Shelley enjoys family time with her husband, two daughters and four grandchildren. She loves, animals, bird watching and cooking.
